Loneliness Awareness Week takes place from 15–21 June 2026, and this year’s theme, “Giving Loneliness a Voice,” encourages people to open up conversations around loneliness and connection.
Sometimes, simply spending time in a welcoming space, having a conversation, or being around others can make a real difference. Here are some welcoming spaces and community events to explore this Loneliness Awareness Week.

Wall of Feelings
A creative and calming drop-in space inviting people to contribute to a shared “Wall of Feelings” while taking part in mindful colouring and art activities.
A gentle way to reflect, express yourself, and connect with others through creativity.
Sidewalk Talk Listening Event
A simple but meaningful community listening space where anyone can stop by for a conversation. The idea is simple: you talk, they listen.
Sometimes feeling heard can make all the difference.
A Touch of Gentleness
This thoughtful event creates space for conversations around loneliness through shared reflections, listening and acts of kindness, including complimentary hand massages and message sharing.
A soft and supportive environment designed to help people slow down and connect.
Games Night and Cable Car Rides with Strangers
A welcoming evening of games, icebreakers and conversation designed to help people meet others in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Guests are encouraged to attend solo and leave with new connections, memories and good vibes.
TFL’s Chatty Cabins
A unique shared experience where people can enjoy conversations and connection while travelling together in London’s cable cars.
A reminder that meaningful conversations can happen in unexpected places.
Pop Up Public Living Room
A relaxed public space where anyone can stop by, sit down and spend time in the company of others.
No pressure, no agenda, just connection and community.
Connection doesn’t always have to begin with a big moment. Sometimes it starts with a shared seat, a small conversation, or simply showing up 💛
This Loneliness Awareness Week, why not try a welcoming new space, attend an event, or start a conversation with someone new?
You can explore even more events on the Connections Map throughout the week.
And if you attend an event, share it on your socials by tagging Marmalade Trust and using #LonelinessAwarenessWeek and #GivingLonelinessAVoice 💛
